    A unique tour in the footsteps of the Ausralian/New Zealand Armed Corps in Israel in 1917(WW1). 2017 marks the centennial anniversary of the ANZAC battles against the Turkish Ottoman Empire in 1917 as part of World War 1 in the area known as Palestine. To commemorate this occasion we have compiled a special tour that retraces the history and exploits of the ANZAC forces in the holy land.

      We drive south along the Philistines coast, passing the cities of Ashdod and Ashkelon. On the way we view the Ad Halom Bridge where the advancing Egyptian army was stopped in 1948 during Israel's War of independence.

      We continue further south through Kibbutz Yad Mordechai, which was heavily attacked during the 1948 war, and passing by the city of Sderot, we stop at the Chetz Shachor monument overlooking Gaza strip, which commemorates the battles fought against infiltration and terrorist activities from Gaza.

      We proceed to Kibbutz Beeri in the North West Negev, visit the ANZAC monument overlooking the city of Gaza, telling the story of the heroic battles fought by the Australian and New Zealand forces in 1917 World War 1.

      Travelling further south we arrive at the Shalom farming region in the North West Negev, visit Moshav Talmei Yosef with its magnificent farms of fruits and vegetables, tasting is available.

      We continue following in the footsteps of ANZAC and drive to Park Eshkol in the Negev, see Wadi Gaza and the old railway coming from the Sinai peninsula, built by ANZAC , and proceed south east through the Negev desert along the ANZAC trail passing Khalassa, Bir Asluj and Bir Mashash, arriving in Beer Sheva - capital city of the Negev. Visit the British war cemetery where fallen soldiers of the great battle of Beer Sheva Oct/31/1917 are buried. Travel through the city, view of the old railway station, and end our tour with a visit to the Australian soldier park in Beer Sheva.

      Return to point of departure by 19:30.

      We drive eastward through the Wilderness of Judea, see the Bedouin settlements along the way, passing by the Inn of the Good Samaritan descending to the lowest point on earth - the Dead Sea, 400 Meters below sea level.

      Proceed south along the Dead Sea west coast, view of Qumeran and its caves where the famous Dead Sea scrolls were found, the oasis of Ein Gedi, arrive at Mt. Massada.

      Early climb up the Snake path leading to Mt. Massada rising almost 400 meters above the Dead Sea, arrive at the top to enjoy a breathtaking  view of a majestic sunrise over Moav mountains and the Judean desert.

      Tour of the impressive ruins of the great fortress established by king Herod the great over 2000 years ago, which later on became the last stronghold of the Jewish rebels against the Roman empire (73 AD).

      See the walls, the palaces, the storerooms, the Roman bath House, the old synagogue, the Roman encampments and the ramp.

      Descend by the cable car and travel to a nearby beach of the Dead Sea - stop for a swim in its therapeutic waters, experience the black mud and enjoy these unforgettable feelings of floating on the water.
